Hello!
My name is Lance Bey
I graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic Institute, where I took course of Nursing.

I graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2026 as a registered nurse, having recently completed two years of National Service. I am excited to begin my professional career and devote the next few years to assisting people in their time of need, as well as accompanying patients through the nursing and recovery processes.
My life value is: "No matter how slow we are in striving for success, it is still part of succeeding. We will only fail if we stop striving." I've always believed that learning never stops, and nursing is more than just a career for me; it's a journey where I can push myself and learn more.
I never imagined myself pursuing a career in nursing until I was 16 years old. Like many others, I aspired to be a psychologist from an early age, and my deep interest in the topic prompted me to learn more about psychology and study psychology-related publications. So why did I alter my mind at the last minute? The biggest reason is because the individuals around me have changed my outlook. As people around me grew older and developed health problems as a result of a lack of medical understanding, I wanted to pursue a career in which I could care for them when they lost their ability to be self-sufficient. Along the way, I met many wonderful elders who shared their affection with me, sparking my interest in caring for the elderly.
I am a great believer in the power of knowledge and continuous learning. Learning allows us to make significant changes and provide higher-quality patient care. By accepting the call to care for others, I am embracing the opportunity to learn new skills while reinforcing old ones and utilizing them to make a significant difference in the nursing sector.

Usually the snacks and set up in a way for patients to test their calculation skills and ability to purchase their needs. A good time to communicate with the patients too to know more about them.

Youth Support
Usually, there will be workshops such as crochet to actively allow the youths who are undergoing stress or suicidal thoughts to do some fun activities and socialise themselves with us volunteers. Sessions also provided to hear the youths problems and provide what we have to support them in terms of financially and mentally.
Home Nursing
The Home Nursing Foundation; is more of a place for uncles and aunties to come on down to play some games, do morning exercises and share the food that the centre provides.
On days of celebration like Christmas and the Mid-Autumn Festival, as volunteer, I would walk around the neighbourhood to each door to provide a small gift and say our wishes to them to have a sense of celebration within the community.
Interest/Hobbies/CCA
Spending Quality time with Friends!
I love spending time going out with my group of close friends. With each other's accompany, we go Barbequing, Karting, and visting Bird Parks together and many more.

Going to Concerts and sceneries ALONE.
As I network and socialise with friends and people around me, I love doing things alone to recharge myself after a stressful period.
I love music a lot, thus a concert is a place that I am willing to spend my money on to listen to their live performance.
Aikido is a Japanese martial art that focuses on self-defence and peace. It's a Co-Curriculum Activity (CCA) that I do every Wednesday and free days at the headquarters.
Apart from Aikido, bouldering is another hobby I have which trains on my physical strength and thinking. I love that each climb has their own difficulty and each successful climb is an accomplishment to me.
On days that I am stress with school work, I would take my bicycle for a spin to enjoy the night scenery and feel the wind.
